Future Skills Architect

Closing the gap between employers and the emerging workforce.

Hey, I’m Gemma Hallett, founder of miFuture, experienced teacher and lecturer, former Wales international rugby player, and Future Skills Architect.

My career has taken me from classrooms to international sport, and now into the changing world of work. Across those environments, I’ve seen what helps people develop, perform and fulfil their potential.

I bring that experience together to help prepare an emerging workforce to be work ready, while helping organisations understand, develop and respond to the skills they need now and in the future.

Through learner workshops, team training, conference speaking, strategic workshops, learning design and Work Ready Academy development, I turn that experience into practical support organisations can actually use.

The common thread is simple: recognise potential, build capability and create the conditions for people to perform.

    • Learner journey design

    Work Ready Academy Design

Sport does not expect a young player to arrive as the finished product. It identifies potential, creates the right environment and develops the skills, behaviours, confidence and performance needed to progress.

I help employers apply the same thinking to their emerging workforce by creating structured development pathways that allow them to recruit for potential and build the specific capability their organisation needs.

A Work Ready Academy can combine:

    • Personal qualities and professional behaviours
    • Soft skills
    • Digital and AI capability
    • Business induction and role-specific learning
    • Accredited or recognised external learning
    • Workplace projects and practical experience
    • Coaching, progress reviews and development pathways

The aim is not simply to fill an entry-level vacancy. It is to develop the future specialists, managers and leaders the organisation will need.

    Booking fees:
    Initial academy diagnostic from £2,500
    Academy design projects from £5,000
Larger multi-role or organisation-wide projects are scoped and quoted separately.

Testimonials.

  • Gemma is an amazing speaker and trainer who knows how to engage and educate her audience. She delivered a 'Let's Talk Gen Z' workshop for employers at our annual conference, and it was a huge success.

She helped us understand the mindset, values, and preferences of the Gen Z workforce, and how we can attract, retain, and motivate them.

We received so much positive feedback from the participants that we decided to host an online seminar with her as well.

Thank you, Gemma, for always helping us with your inspiring messages and insights. We can't wait to work with you again!

  • I’m writing this email to inform you that the session went well and I probably likes a lot about the session. I learned a lot about how to start a business ,how to figure out a business idea and the problems, solutions that are needed to solve that idea for the plan to success .I also learned how to think and choose an idea which does not cost too much to start .It was a good lesson that was inspiring, with great ideas and solutions. The session was easy for me to understand and learn .

  • I'm just messaging with some lovely feedback from the learners from your session at Y Pant a few weeks ago.

Following your session the students have given feedback that they enjoyed hearing about your upbringing as they found it relatable and inspiring.

They said that they would now like to hear about other jobs relating to the topic.

It's great to hear the positive impact your session had on the pupils and how your session has helped them feel that they are now interested in developing more knowledge of other roles.

Once again, I'd like to thank you on behalf of Working Options for providing these sessions, it's very much appreciated 🙂
