Our Pledge to the Future Generations Act and Wales’s Generation Z

We at miFuture define Generation Z as the digital natives born between 1995 and 2010. They are aged between 9 and 25 today. According to the Well-being of Future Generations Act (2015) Wales faces a challenge to provide a decent quality of life for all its citizens, in particular our young people.

Wales is leading the way as the first Country in the World to structure a Future Generations Commissioner and as a result has focused on 7 Well-being Goals.

Having been co-built with Generation Z miFuture support all of the Act’s 7 goals, below:

🤑 A Prosperous Wales

It's accepted that control of our own career pathways can lead to higher aspirations, which will deliver both a social and economic benefit.

Our innovative and individualised app puts school leavers in control as it nudges a generation towards the labour market.

As a result school leavers will become more skilled and employable, ultimately benefiting from generated wealth and economic involvement.

♻ A Resilient Wales

Our low carbon function encourages young people to navigate and explore the world of work without impacting the environment.

We also work with partners who are actively seeking young people to join the industry to support and lead on environmental issues and challenges

By embracing employability options, the chances of a young person being active in society increases, along with the likelihood of them engaging in a more positive physical and mental well-being.

⚖ A More Equal Wales

Our gender-neutral app is available on devices accessible to over 98% of young people.

We also support those of various abilities, raising aspirations and challenging stereotypes. Therefore enabling young people to fulfil their potential regardless of their background or circumstances.

🏡 A Wales of Cohesive Communities

Through matching local people to local opportunities, we’ll engage a hyperlocal talent pipeline to reduce skills-gaps needed in their communities... better jobs closer to home.

Consequently making communities more attractive and viable, and creating a social and economic benefit so that everyone can live together happily.

🙋 A Wales of Vibrant Culture and Thriving Welsh Language

We connect Welsh language speakers with the employers seeking the skill.

Furthermore we will provide a Welsh app to promote and protect the Welsh language and culture, allowing Welsh language to thrive in the workplace.

🌎 A Globally Responsible Wales

We can increase the awareness of global and opportunities labour markets.

Whilst also informing the rest of the world how young people are shaping the future workforce in Wales.

It’s clear our product and vision is aligned to the Future Generations Act and we are proud that Wales leads the way in becoming the first country in prioritising the future of it’s younger generations.
